FOOD VENDOR REQUIREMENTS:
All food and beverage vendors must be duly licensed and permitted by the State of Hawai‘i to provide food and beverage services, and all vendors must comply with all laws, rules and regulations applicable to vendor and its services including, without limitation, the rules and regulations promulgated by the Sanitation Branch of the Department of Health, State of Hawai‘i. Food Vendors that do not use a certified kitchen to prepare food must have a disclaimer sign on their booth stating “Foods are not prepared in a certified kitchen” and the sign must be easily visible to customers.
Sustainable practices requestedl due to the Wai Kai’s proximity to the ocean, lagoon and surrounding natural wildlife.
- No single-use plastics or other disposable plastic products shall be used in the sale of products. This includes, but is not limited to, plastic bags, packaging, bottles, beverage containers, sample cups/spoons, straws, and styrofoam.
- Compostable “plastics” may be used.
- Only paper or other compostable straws are permitted for use at the Event.
- Beverages in aluminum bottles or glass bottles are permitted.
